I-27 links Amarillo and Canyon with Happy, Tulia, Plainview and Lubbock. Know your nearest town and exit before you call.
Interstate 27 runs about 124 miles between Lubbock and Amarillo, entirely in Texas. In Amarillo it is also known as the Canyon Expressway and it meets I-40 on the north end. Heading south, it passes Canyon, then Happy, and serves Tulia, Plainview and Hale Center through state highway and U.S. 87 connections before reaching Lubbock.
Between towns the road crosses open farmland, so services can be far apart. Before you need help, it is worth knowing which town you passed last and which is next.

Requests are most likely to be covered around Amarillo, Canyon and nearby Panhandle communities, which are listed on Areas Served. Farther south on I-27 there is no promise of coverage. Submit your request with your exact location and the pro will tell you whether they can reach you and what it would cost.
Services you can ask about: mobile tire repair and replacement, flat tire change, battery jump start, fuel delivery and lockout assistance. Trucks and trailers: commercial and trailer tire service.
Requests there are the most likely to be covered, since both are in the service area. A pro still has to confirm availability when you submit your request.
Move as far from traffic as you safely can, turn on your hazard lights and stay buckled in or well away from the road. See Stranded on I-40: What to Do, which applies to any interstate.
Coverage can be patchy in open country. If you lose signal, stay with the vehicle where you can be seen and call 911 if you are in danger or need urgent help.
